Our 300 year old farmhouse located at the end of a winding lane has far reaching uninterrupted views over fields of maize and sunflowers. Located in a friendly farming community near Aubeterre sur Dronne on the Charente Dordogne border about an hours drive from Bordeaux or Bergerac airports,in an area renowned for its beautiful scenery, excellent food and wines. Nearby are the famous Vinyards of Bordeaux, Bergerac and Cognac and the wine capital of St Emilion. Very close to the river Dronne which and has much to offer along its banks, great restaurants, pretty villages, a "sandy beach", small water park, fishing, canoeing etc. The sights of the Dordogne can easily be explored including mediaeval towns like Perigueux, the world famous painted caves and the weekly market at Riberac. Just minutes away is Le Manoir de Longeveau a welcoming golf and tennis club with a multi lingual creche. There are several horse riding stables and lovely walking trails in the area. The quiet roads are ideal for cycling, with more challenging biking trails nearby along with bike hire. If you enjoy good food there is a wide variety of excellent restaurants to choose from,the nearest is less than 5 minutes away.
