Nearby is the Marias Poitivan, a lovely area of reclaimed marshland with hundreds of miles of canals.Boat,cycle hire and restauraunts are some of its attractions. Poitiers is an hour away,as is the historic walled harbour of La Rochelle. Niort about twenty mins away has many places of interest a wide choice of bars and restauraunts.
