Where is Camping Couze? Camping Couze, with its comfortable mobile homes, is situated in a family run 3 star french campsite with pool in Couze St Front. The village is located between the historic towns of Bergerac and Sarlat in the Dordogne region of South West France. A haven of tranquility it is an ideal spot for your mobile home holiday. Couze Village Couze St Front is a pretty hillside village bordered by the river Couze. It was once renowned for its paper mills and canal on which Gabarres travelled while trading to and from Bordeaux. It is a 20 mins drive from Bergerac Airport and under 2 hours from Bordeaux Airport and is a perfect base for exploring the Dordogne. From Couze one can walk along the tree lined canal to the next village, Lalinde. In the other direction one can walk between the canal and the river Dordogne to St Capraise. Special Events From June to September the Comite des fetes (the village committee) organises a fortnightly evening market where locals and tourists meet and eat together. The summer fete takes place every year on the first weekend of August.

The Dordogne region is steeped in history with megalithic caves, medieval villages, and historical chateaux. Far too numerous to mention. For walking and cycling clubs and individuals, the Dordogne region is renowned for its off the beaten track walking and cycling circuits. For the golf enthusiast, Chateaux Les Merles (15 min from the campsite) boasts a 9 hole golf course in its grounds. Clubs are available from the club house. For children there are various theme parks based on the area’s history coupled with nearby water park “l’Etang de Bos” and local aquariums. Weekly markets are held in Lalinde (3 km from site) and the medieval village of Issigeac (15 km from site). Here you will find farm fresh produce, local specialities as well as jewellery and bric-a-brac novelty items
