Quillan is a small to medium size town in the south west of France, nested in the foothills of the Pyrenees Mountains. With a population of under five thousand the town maintains some of the charm of a small village while its location as a hub to explore the surrounding areas gives it the amenities you might expect of a much larger town i.e. shops restaurants, bars, swimming pool and cinema to name but a few. The location and the fact that the Aude river runs through the town mean many adventure activities are accessible either in the town or within a very short distance.
